"I just lost my friend Owen Mays today. Owen was a damn good song writer, and one of the funniest human beings I ever knew. I'd like to do a song in his honor. This was one of the last songs we ever sang together. It was on the anniversary of Johnny Thunder's passing, and we were in Fayetteville, NC at The Black Cat Lounge. I started this song as a Johnny tribute, and before I knew it Owen was up on stage singing with me. By the time we were done, we both had tears in our eyes. Here's for you, old boy."
